During the Amazon Devices Event held at Amazon headquarters in late September, lots of new products and technology were revealed, along with improvements regarding customer privacy and Alexa's ever-growing capabilities. From making her more conversational to giving her the ability to sense when you're frustrated, the list of what Alexa can't do is getting shorter.
Here are some new devices from Amazon that ensure Alexa is with you at all times:
Amazon Smart Oven ($249.99) A 4-in-1 microwave, convection oven, air fryer and food warmer that you can control with your voice using a compatible Echo device. It can also scan packaged foods from the Alexa app and automatically load instructions on your oven with "scan-to-cook" technology. Will be released 11/14/19.
Echo Auto ($49.99) Echo Auto connects to Alexa through the Alexa app and plays through your speakers via the auxiliary input or your smartphone's Bluetooth. Ask Alexa to play music, an audiobook, check your calendar, find nearby businesses, or make calls. Available now.
Echo Buds ($129.99) Wireless earbuds that allow hands-free, on-the-go access to Alexa so you can play music, audiobooks, make calls and even access other assistants like Siri or Google Assistant. Equipped with Bose Active Noise Reduction technology. Will be released 10/30/19.
Echo Dot With Clock ($59.99) Amazon's most popular smart speaker now with an LED display that can show the time, outdoor temperature or timers. Ask Alexa to play music, answer questions, check the weather, set alarm and much more. Will be released 10/16/19.
Echo Show 8 ($129.99) The Echo Show is now available with an HD 8-inch display. It's also available in 5.5 in. and 10 in. Ask Alexa to show you movies, TV shows, the news, listen to music, pull up recipes, and call friends and family. Will be released 11/21/19.
Echo Studio ($199.99) A high fidelity smart speaker with 3D audio and Alexa built in. Equipped with 5-speakers and Dolby Atmos technology. Automatically senses the acoustics of your space and adapts to any room for optimal sound. Will be released 11/7/19.
Echo, 3rd Gen ($99.99) Engage with Alexa and experience improved sound with new premium speakers powered by Dolby, now available in a new color: Twilight Blue. Will be released 10/16/19.
Echo Glow ($29.99) A multi-color smart lamp for kids that pairs with any compatible Alexa device. It can display a flickering campfire light, Sleep Timer that gradually dims, transition through multiple colors, light up in one color of your choice, and coming soon, a dance party with music and lights. Will be released 11/20/19.
Echo Frames ($179.99) Alexa-enabled non-prescription (you can add one) eyeglasses that leave you hands-free to get more done. It is a Day One Edition product, only available via invitation.
Echo Loop ($129.99) Alexa-enabled smart ring that works with a compatible smart phone and the Alexa app. It has two microphones, a small speaker, and a haptic engine that vibrates gently when you receive notifications. It is a Day One Edition product, only available via invitation.
Echo Flex ($24.99) A compact, cordless speaker that plugs right into your wall outlet. For customers that want Alexa enabled throughout their home, not intended for playing music. Will be released 11/14/19.
