The Outdoor Retailer Snow Show just wrapped up last week and as usual, we had a great time making new friends, meeting up with old friends, and discovering a plethora of great products from the outdoor industry.

Outdoor Retailer is the biggest outdoor show in the country where brands, retailers, non-profits, athletes, and media all gather under one roof to explore the outdoor trends that shape the marketplace. Not only does it present the opportunity to discover new products from the brands you know and love, but you also get a first hand look at new brands, ideas, and products, and the chance to network with the movers and shakers in the outdoor industry.

Everything and anything outdoors

The Snow Show is packed wall-to-wall with products to get you outdoors in the colder weather: apparel, footwear, ski and snowboard gear, camping gear, hiking equipment, gloves, bags, even electric off-road motorbikes - you name it. You can also explore textiles and fabric technology, as well as educate yourself on how to grow and evolve your business through a wide variety of conferences, training sessions, leadership seminars, and networking events. Some of this year's sessions included topics like digital content strategies, sustainability, marketing to Gen Z, and the importance of selling your products on Amazon.

Take a step outside

In addition to the continuous themes of climate change and sustainability, this year's show also focused on getting more people outdoors. With the number of people participating in outdoor activities on the decline, outdoor brands and organizations are working to change that trend with a focus on inclusiveness and access to outdoor activities for those that may not have it. Organizations like SIA (Snowsports Industries America) are working with others to create a new generation of snow sport enthusiasts by bringing sustainable winter sports programs to urban and rural communities.

Bonus points

As always with Outdoor Retailer, when you're done with business and want to unwind, there's a slew of happy hours and food trucks to hit up. Although you don't have to wait until the end of the day for some good eats - the jalapeno cheddar elk brats we had for lunch were bomb!
