For the third year in a row, VF Corporation was named One of the World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices. Companies are recognized for exemplifying and advancing corporate citizenship, transparency, and the standards of integrity. VF Corporation was one of two apparel companies (the other being H&M) out of a pool of 128 honorees that represent 21 countries across 50 industries.
The companies being honored are evaluated in five categories:
Ethics and Compliance Program
Culture of Ethics
Corporate Citizenship and Responsibility
Leadership and Reputation
Each category is evaluated through their Ethics Quotient®, a proprietary rating system that objectively scores self-reported data along with supporting documentation.
The Methodology behind their selection process:
“Today employees, consumers and stakeholders value companies that show both a commitment to business integrity, and also have the organizational humility to never stop seeking improvement. The World’s Most Ethical Companies honorees understand that this approach has a profound impact on communities and is the foundation for broader success and profitability,” said Ethisphere CEO, Timothy Erblich. “We congratulate all honorees for making our world a better place by blending profit and purpose in a meaningful way.”
